Protein obsession seems to be growing ever stronger. It has even made its way into the latest Dietary Guidelines for Americans. But why is this happening, and is the attention warranted? Christopher Gardner, PhD, of the Stanford Prevention Research Center, will be joining us to discuss these questions and many more on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Alongside CNS’s Medical Advisory Board chair, Dr. Michael Hollie, Dr. Gardner will dig into the myths and realities of this revered macronutrient.
For more than thirty years, Dr. Gardner, Rehnborg Farquhar Professor of Medicine at Stanford, has been a key faculty member at the Stanford Prevention Research Center, where he leads the Stanford Nutrition Studies Research Group. He recently completed a two-year term serving on the 2025 US Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee. He has also served as the chair of the American Heart Association’s Nutrition Committee. His work was recently featured in the Emmy-awarded docuseries You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment (2024).
We hope you’ll join us for this free webinar on May 12. It promises to be a great one!
